Will of William H. Mansfield

Know all men by these presents:

I, William H. Mansfield, a resident of the town of Bloomfield, Greene County, Indiana, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, and not acting under duress, menace or undue influence of any person whomsoever, do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament.

Item 1 - I hereby revoke any and all wills and testamentary instruments heretofore made by me.

Item 2 - I desire and direct that all my just debts including my funeral expenses and the expenses of my last illness, be paid by my executor, hereinafter named, out of the first moneys coming into his hands and available therefor.

Item 3 - I hereby give, devise and bequeath unto my wife, Lula Mansfield, one third of all my property and estate, both real, personal, of whatsoever nature or wheresoever situated, to have and to hold the same absolutely and in fee simple.

Item 4 All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate and property, of every kind and discription, whether, real, personal or mixed, which I may own or in which I may have an interest at the time of my death, I give, devise, bequeath to my son, Lester Mansfield, to have and to hold the same absolutely and in fee simple.

Item 5 - I hereby constitute and appoint my son, Lester Mansfield, executor of this my last will and testament.

In witnesses whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal to this last will and testament, on this 27th day of January, 1944, in the town of Bloomfield, State of Indiana

Signed, sealed and acknowledge by William H. Mansfield as his last will and testament in our presence, who at his request, and in his presence; and in the presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses therto this 27th day of January 1944.

State of Indiana, Greene County, ss:

Be it remembered, that on the 27th day of March 1946 Norvell Ocekrman one of the subscribuing witnesses to the within and foregoing lat will and testament of William H. Mansfield, late of said county, deceased, personally appeared before Judge of the Circuit Court of Greene County, in the State of Indiana, and being duly sworn by the Clerk of said, court, upoin [sic upon] his oath declared and testified as follows, that is to day: That on the 23rd day of January 1944 he was the said William H. Mansfield sign his name to said instrument in writing to be his last will and testament, and that the said instrument in writing was at the same time at the requeat of the said William H. Mansfield and with his consent attested and subscribed by the said William H. Mansfield [sic Norvell Ockerman] in the presence of said testator and in the presence oif each other as subscribing witness thereto, and that the said William H. Mansfield was at the time of the sighning and subscribing of said instrument in writing as aforesaid, of full age (that is, more then twenty-one years of age) and of sound and disposing mind and memory, and not under any coercion or restraint, as the said deponet verily believes and further deponent says not.

I, Frank A. Lenning, clerk of the Circuit Court of Greene County, Indiana do hereby certify that the within annexed will and testament of William H. Mansfield has benn duly admittied to probate and duly proved by the testimony of Norval Ockerman, one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, that a complete record of said will and of the testimony of the said Norval Ockerman is proof thereof has been by me duly recorded in Book 6 at pages 449 of the Record of Wills of said county.

In attestation whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed the seal of said court at Bloomfield, this 27th day of March, 1946
