Will of William J. VandeventerBk. 6 pg. 59 Filed 9 Feb. 1931} I William J. Vandeventer of Greene County, in the state of Indiana, being at this time of sound and disposing mind and memory do hereby make this my last will and testament and do hereby revoke any and all wills and testaments heretofore by me made. Item 1 I give, devise and bequest to my wife Laura Ellen Vandeventer, all my property, real, personal and mixed of every kind and description to have and to hold for and during her natural life. Item 2 At the death of my wife, I give and bequeath to my daughter Ruth Calvert the sum of $100.00, and after the payment of above sum to my said daughter, I give and bequeath tomy children namely; Ruth Calvert, Edgar Vandeventer, Isaac Vandeventer and Nellie Padgett all the residue of my estate in fee simple and absolute in equal share. Item 3 I hereby appoint my wife executrix of this will. In testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand this 5th day of October 1921.
Attest Subscribed by the said William J. Vandeventer in our presence and by him declared to be his last will, and attested by us as such at his request and int his presence and in the presence of each other, this the 5th day of Ovtober, 1921
State of Indiana, Green County, ss: Be it remembered that on the 9 day of January, 1931, James M. Hudson, one of the subscribing witnesses to the within and foregoing last will and testament of William J. Vandeventer, lat of Greene County, deceased, personally appeared before Elmer W. Sherwood, clerk of the Circuit Court of Greene County, and the State of Indiana, and being duly sworn by the Clerk of said court, upon his oath declared and testified as follows, that is to say: That on the Oct. 5, 1921, he saw the said William J. Vandeventer sign his name to said instrument in writing as and for his last will and testament, and that this deponent at the same at the request of the said William J. Vandeventer and with his consent attested and subscribed by the said James M. Hudson and Victoria Hidson, in the presence of said testator and in the presence of each other as subscribing witnesses thereto, and that the said William J. Vandeventer was ast the time of the signing and subscribing of said instrument in writing as aforesaid, of full age ( that is more than twenty one years of age) and of a sound and disposing mind and memory and not under any coercion or restraint as the said deponent verily believes and further says not.
Sworn to and subscribed by the said James M. Hudson before me, Elmer W Sherwood, Clerk of said court at Bloomfield ___ _ February, 1931
State of Indiana, Green County, SS: I Elmer W. Sherwood, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Greene County, Indiana do hereby certify that the foregoing annexed will and testament of William J. Vandeventer had been duly admitted to probate and duly proved by the testimony of James M. Hudson, one of the subscribing witnesses therto, that also _ record of said will, and of the testimony of the said James M. Hudson in proof to, had been by me duly made and recorded in Book 6 at page 59, of the Record of Wills of said county. In attestation thereof, I have hereunto subscribed and affixed the seal of said court, at Bloomfield, Indiana this _ day of February, 1931
