Guy W. ILIFF, son of Mr. and Mrs Henry ILIFF, was sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa, where he was assigned to Co. F. Second US Infantry.

Guy was the son of Henry B. Iliff (born 24 Sep 1863, Indiana) and Sarah R.(surname unknown, born Jan 1873 according to the 1900 census). Guy's siblings were Labella (b. Nov 1891 IN) and Ora V. (b. Aug 1895 IN).

Roy Ivan INGLE

Roy Ivan INGLE, son of Mrs. Mary A JACKSON, was born in Clinton Co,. Ind 15 Feb 1896.
He enlisted in the sanitary corps of the 151st Infantry, 11 Jul 1917 and was first sent to Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Ind. From 26 Sep 1917 to 15 Sep 1918, he was at Hattiesburg, Miss; then he went to France as a first class private.

Louis J. JACOUTOT, Jr.

Louis J. JACOUTOT, Jr., son of Louis J. and Mary PIQUET JACOUTOT, was born in Elwood Ind. 18 Aug 1895. He married Edna Ellen GRAHAM. He enlisted in the navy at Indianapolis Ind. 16 May 1918 and was released 20 Dec 1918 with the rating of naval baker, first class. He was released from active service at Great Lakes, Ill. Louis L. JACQUIER

Louis L. JACQUIER, son of Germain and Elizabeth JACQUIER was born in Marathon City, Wis. 27 Feb 1891.
He attended the St. Francis Academy in Kokomo Ind. He enlisted in the army at Washington DC15 Jul 1918 and was sent to Blackburg VA and later to Camp Joseph E. Johnston in Jacksonville Fla.
As a member of Motor Co. # 11, he served until January 1919 when a transfer was made to the 812th Co. Motor Transport Corps, Camp Meigs, Washington DC. He was discharged 1 Jul 1919.

JARVIS, Charles G.

JARVIS, Charles G., son of Stephen and Sarah Jane JARVIS, was born in Howard Co. Ind., 16 Jan 1880. He enlisted in in the Army 24 Apr 1917, the same month the United States declared war.
After spending a short time at Ft. Benjamin Harrison, he left for France in October 1917, with the 150th F.A. Forty-Second (Rainbow) Division. As a mechanic and a driver of supply trucks to the front lines, he experienced the gravest danger constantly.
He was in the following engagements: Luneville sector, 23 Feb to 23 Mar 1918; Baccaret sector 30 Mar to 20 Jun; Champagne-Marne offensice, 15 Jun to 18 Jul; Alsne-Marne offensive, 20 Jul to 11 Aug; St. Mihiel 12 Sep to 16 Sep; minor operations in the Woevre, 17 Sep to 30 Sep; Meuse-Argonne offensive, 30 Sep to 11 Nov 1918.
He was with the Army of Occupation from 17 Nov 1918 to April 1 1919. His discharge was issued at Camp Zachary Taylor, KY 9 May 1919.

JARVIS, Elden

JARVIS, Elden, son of Mrs. Daisy SMITH, was born at Greentown, Ind. 18 Jun 1900. He graduated from high school in May, 1918 and on 18 Jun 1918, he enlisted at Indianapolis Ind. as a chauffeur.
Eight weeks of intensive training was received at Camp Joseph E. Johnston, Jacksonville Fla; then he received his overseas equipment and sailed from Newport News, Va. 22 Aug 1918.
Upon his arrival at Brest, France, 9 Sep 1918, he was assigned to Salvage Unit No 315. From 12 Sep to 14 Sep he was engaged with the Eighty-Ninth Division in the St. Mihiel offensive; 26 Sep to 8 Oct he was in the Meuse-Argonne offensive with the same division; from that time until the armistice he was in the Meuse-Argonne with another division.
He received his discharge at Camp Sherman, Ohio 12 Jul 1919. He was accidentally killed in an automobile accident near Sharpsville Ind 19 Sep 1919.

JARVIS, Virgil

JARVIS, Virgil, son of James and Flora JARVIS, was born 2 Dec 1892. He went to France with Co C. 111th Infantry.
