Howard County Indiana
WPA Index of Names of Persons and Firms: D

The following index to Howard County Indiana county histories, atlases and other local documents was published in the late 1930’s as a Work Projects Administration (W.P.A.) project. The index is alphabetical, with an abbreviation for the county history, and a page number. The publications referenced (see below) may be available at a local library (including the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library) or through Inter-Library Loan.

At first, these pages will provide a listing of surnames from the index; then as lookups are requested, the full index entry will appear. Within the index entries - the following abbreviations may be used: b = born; m =married; d= died; w = wife of. A page number followed by "a" indicates an appendix reference, while "f" indicates a footnote.

Example: BAILEY, James L -- B 104, 358; M1 130 -- This individual is referenced on page 104 and 358 of the Blanchard history, as well as on page 130 of the first volume of the Morrow history.

To request a lookup from this index ( NOT the publications referenced within the index entries) - contact Tracey Morris. Please limit your request to one surname at a time.
