FISHER (c1837-1890)Kokomo Dispatch, 11 December 1890Jacob R. FISHER died at his home, two miles south of the city, at 10 o'clock yesterday of nervous prostration, aged 53 years. The deceased was a native of Shelby County and came to Howard county in 1860, settling in Harrison township. He was a charter member of the I.O.O.F. lodge of Alto and was one of the successful farmers of that township. He was married in Shelby county December 11, 1856 and was the father of three children, two of whom survive him--Mrs. Ida M. HUGGINS and Mrs. Alice CRODDY, both of this county. His first wife died in 1867, and he was married February 11, 1869, to Mary Heaton, who died ten years ago. At the time of his death he was supervisor of the road district in which he lived. Jake FISHER was well known the county over and his death will occasion no little surpise to his numerous friends. Services will be held at the FISHER residence at 2 p.m. Thursday and interment will follow in Crown Point.
Benjamin F. FLOYD (c1832-1890)Kokomo Gazette Tribune, Wednesday, 10 Dec 1890Benjamin F. FLOYD died at his home on North Washington Street Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock of paralysis, aged 58 years. The deceased was born in Clinton County, Ohio in 1832. When 23 years of age he removed to Clinton County, Indiana and was married the same year-1855-to Miss Sarah LUDDINGTON, who died ten years later. In 1866 he came to this city where he has ever since resided. He remarried in 1868 to Mrs. Mary MCRAE, who survives him. Four children were born to them of whom two survive, Clarence and Williard of this city, they being of the former union.
