Saturday, January 8 -- HCGS meeting at 10 a.m. Program: Ron Darrell of IGS.

Thursday, January 13 – Family Tree Detectives 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Community Room at Main Library. Students in grades 4-6 (limit 20 students) are invited to start discovering the story of their family history. Registration required with either the Children’s Department or the Genealogy & Local History Services Department.

March 2 – May 11(Wednesdays) -- Genealogy & Local History Department beginning genealogy class “Climbing Your Family Tree” will meet 1 - 4 p.m. on Wednesdays for 10 weeks in the Community Room at the Main Branch of the Library. Sunday, May 15 – Genealogy and Local History Department Open House 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Tour the Department and find out what it has to offer! Free genealogy research packets will be available, as well as knowledgeable genealogists to help you learn where and how to start your family research.

September 14 – November 16 (Wednesdays) -- The beginning genealogy class “Climbing Your Family Tree” will meet 6 - 9 p.m. on Wednesdays for 10 weeks in the Community Room at the Main Branch of the Library. Fee (includes includes textbook and handouts): $45 per person/ $75 per couple (any 2 related individuals). Please pay fees at the time of registration.
