I am researching the STOUT and WILLIAMS surnames.
STOUTS came to Howard County from Orange County, Indiana in about 1860 and settled near New London.
The WILLIAMS owned a store in Hemlock in the 1920's and '30's. My wife and I met in Flint, Michigan not knowing that her mother and my parents were born in Howard County.

I am researching the surname RECORD. John and Melissa Record brought their family to Taylor Township in around 1865-67.
Their childrens names were, Andrew, Adam, George, David, Sara, Mary. Any information would be appreciated!

Timothy Milton MCDANIEL Born: Howard County, Ind. March 11, 1862 Died: Noblesville, Ind March 16, 1941 Buried Fortville, ind. March 19, 1941
I'm looking for information on the parents of Timothy McDaniel. We know that His mothers madien name was Margaret SHAFFER, but we know nothing of his father.

James W. CROSS and Rebecca CONRAD were married 8 October 1856 in Howard County, Indiana.
James was born in Lawrence County on 28 June 1838 and Rebecca was born 24 January 1835, place unknown.
According to her death certificate, she was the daughter of David CONRAD.
Looking for information on parents of both, other siblings (James was youngest of 11 children, 2 known brothers were Jacob and Solomon), etc.

BOONE. WOODS.
Benjamin WOODS of Ky. and Meca BOONE of Lexington, Fayette Co., Ky., were married in Wayne Co., Indiana in 1819.
They lived in Ohio a few years before settling in Howard Co., Ind.

I am looking for information on the family of James W. Woolley, b 1797, NJ; d 1871, Kokomo, Howard Co.
Wife was Rachel GUTHRIE, b 1800 VA; d 1882, Galveston, Cass Co.
Family consisted of 14 children, of those,
Charles Clayborn WOOLLEY, Catherine Dorcas (WOOLLEY) HERCULES, and James Madison WOOLLEY died in Howard Co.
Charles married Mary Ellen LEE, Catherine married John Taylor HERCULES, and James married Margaret Olive ALBRIGHT.

I am looking for inf. on my gg-grandfather Bland Ballard JONES.
Bland was born abt. 1820 in Tipton Co. IN. I found him later in the 1850 census for Johnson Township, Clinton Co. IN along with his wife Sarah MANUEL and their children :
May, William, Martha, Nancy A., Anthony L. and my g-grandfather, Benjamin Franklin JONES.
Bland died May 5, 1882 in Honey Creek Township, Howard Co. IN. He was a laborer and a farmer.
Blands son Benjamin married Charity WRIGHT Oct. 01,1868, Charity was the daughter of John Prior WRIGHT and Hepsibah COATS.

I am looking for info about a Betty (BARNES) HUMBARGER who lived in Greentown in Howard County.
I don't know much about her other than she was born in Shelby County and her parents were William A. BARNES and Mary A. PRICE.
According to William's obituary, he died at the home of his daughter Betty HUMBARGER in Greentown.

I am looking for info on Benjamin LAWSON in Howard County.
He was married to Amanda PALMERTON about 1855. Amanda died in West Liberty Township in 1866 and Benjamin died in 1871.
They had at least one child named Emma Frances LAWSON who married Frank SIMPSON in 1884.
Emma died in 1888 and is buried on the " SIMPSON farm". I would like birth, marriage, death, burial and descendant info on these couples.

My grandparents, George A. WICKERSHAM (born 1857) and Bertha (WILCOX) WICKERSHAM (born 1874) lived in Kokomo around the turn of the century, before moving to Los Angeles, CA
My grandfather was a violin teacher. I have pictures taken in Kokomo. Their nearest neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. D. S. BECHTEL, Helen BAINTER, Walter SUMMERTON, Arthur and Julia MOON, Ross DWIGGINS.
Are any of these of interest? I am just beginning a genealogy search. Any information on my grandparents would be appreciated. Alice Todd
