mpbeall@rmci.net Elizabeth LONG
(see query below)was a half-sister to my gr,gr,grandmother.
One of the things I am particularly interested in, is locating a grave and death date. I am not certain that she died in Howard County. She is found in the 1860 census in the Howard County household of John W. and Louise (TRABUE) LANDON; which is enumerated right next to Marion M. TRABUE.
I was unable to locate any of these people in Howard County in 1870 census, but a 1968 Trabue history that has some information on this branch says that the Landons were living in Anna, Illinois in 1897, but seems to indicate that descendants of Marion M. Trabue remained in Howard County.
It also says that Denton and Malissa Simpson lived in Kokomo. The information in the book appears to have come from a grandson of Marion M. Trabue, Marion Rex Trabue, who is said to have been born near Kokomo in 1890.
Another source says that Denton Simpson was a Baptist minister.
Thanks so much for your help. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Michael Beall Boise, Idaho

Dot had a son prob born near 1917 named Thomas "Tommy" Cowley, and a daughter approx same age who died before 1930.

I am trying to find information regarding my GG grandparents, David Monroe DAVIS and Rebecca M. NORDYKE . They were married in Howard County on June 1,1848.
I am also trying to find David's parent's names. My records show that they were killed around 1836 during an Indian uprising.
I would really appreciate any information you can e-mail. Thanks so much for your time.
