Hazel Coomer
Hazel Coomer, 84, Austin, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg.
Mrs. Coomer was a homemaker.
Born May 8, 1917, in Breathitt County, Ky., she was a daughter of Charles Holland and Gertrude Spicer Holland. She married Walter Coomer, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons, Gene Mullins, Austin, and Lee Porter, Underwood; a daughter, Christine Jones, Scottsburg; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack Holland, Goshen, Ohio; and two sisters, Mae Hance, Charleston, S.C., and Kitty Fletcher, Austin.
The Rev. Bobby Spicer will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Thursday at Buchanan Funeral Home, Austin. Burial will be in New Providence Cemetery, Austin.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
