Dessie Lou Sweeney Unsworth Markow
March 31, 1942 – June 18, 2006Dessie Lou Markow, 64, formerly of Columbus, died Sunday, June 18, 2006, at Roseville, Calif. Born March 31, 1942, she was the daughter of James and Helen Sweeney; her father preceded her in death. She was a health care worker most of her life.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Allen Markow of Roseville, Calif.; her mother, Helen Sweeney of Columbus; four children, Patricia Unsworth, Rick Unsworth (Crystal), Cindy Freeman (Chris) and Jerry Unsworth, all of Roseville Calif.; three sisters, Katie Farrar (Peter) of Roseville, Calif., Joyce Blair (Michael) of Crothersville and Judy Hampton (Ronnie) of Columbus; two brothers James Sweeney II (Bonnie) of Columbus and Andrew Sweeney (Janet) of Roseville, Calif.; five grandchildren, one stepgrandchild; three great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Markow was preceded in death by her father and three infant children. Arrangements were made by Lambert Funeral Home of Roseville, Calif. A memorial service is planed for today at Roseville, Calif. A private memorial service will be held at Columbus at a later date.
