Charles Russell
Charles Russell, 92, Seymour, died at 4:40 a.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2002, at Memorial Hospital, Seymour.
Mr. Russell retired from Gerwin Shoe Factory, Seymour.
Born Dec. 25, 1909, in Seymour, he was the son of William Russell and Mary Frances McElfresh Russell. On Dec. 31, 1961, in Seymour, he married Sadie Maples, who died July 26, 1992.
Survivors include a son, Donald H. Russell, Seymour; a daughter, Bonnie Durham, North Vernon; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Lee Russell, and two sisters, Helen Meyers and Myrtle Ackeret.
The Rev. Bill Weaver will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to donor’s choice or the Lung Association.
