Louella Tankersley Schulte

Louella Tankersley Schulte, 59, Columbus, died at 2:20 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at Hickory Creek Nursing Home, Columbus.

Mrs. Schulte was a homemaker.

Born Nov. 13, 1942, in Vernon, she was a daughter of Leo Hadley and Fannie Bryant. In October 1965 she married Jesse Earl Tankersley, who died March 23, 1981.

Survivors include three daughters, Andrea (Jo-Jody) Tankersley and Mrs. Jerry (Cathy) Hill, both of Seymour, and Ruth Smith, Scottsburg; eight grandchildren, Levi Hill, Cody Hill, Jason Moore, Natasha Moore, Steven Tankersley, Michael Tankersley, Billy Hamilton and Jessica Hamilton; a great-grandchild, Sierra Hamilton; and two brothers, Cecil Hadley and Melvin Hadley, both of North Vernon.

She was preceded in death by a son, Brian Tankersley; a grandchild, Dustin Hill; and a sister, Betty Helton.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Voss & Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
