Marcia Ann Sitterding
September 7, 2006Marcia Ann Sitterding, 47, Brownstown, died at 9:51 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, at IU Medical Center, Indianapolis.
Mrs. Sitterding was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brownstown, and a member of Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She served on several boards at church and was a past Sunday school teacher, former Weight Watchers leader in Jackson County and a volunteer for Red Cross in Jackson County. She was a homemaker and worked for 20 years at Quality Tool and Die, Brownstown. She graduated from Brownstown Central High School in 1976 and attended IU Southeast, New Albany.
Born Oct. 20, 1958, in Seymour, she was a daughter of Alvin Hackman and Dorothy Pollert Hackman, Vallonia, both of whom survive. On Feb. 11, 1978, she married Paul Allen Sitterding in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brownstown. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Daniel Sitterding, Evansville, and Benjamin Sitterding, Brownstown; two daughters, Rachel Sitterding and Rebekah Sitterding, both of Evansville; one brother, Denver Hackman, Vallonia.
The Rev. Jack Belk and Rev. Jeff Geisler will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brownstown. Burial will take place at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at Zabel Funeral Home, Brownstown, and from 12:30 p.m. until time of service Sunday at the church.
Memorials may be given to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Lutheran Central School, or donor's choice.
