Frieda Marie Tape

Frieda Marie Tape, 78, of Seymour and formerly of Brownstown, died at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002, at Lutheran Community Home, Seymour.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Brownstown. She had worked at Kieffer Paper Mill, Marion-Kay and Rural Electric Membership Corp., all of Brownstown, and Jackson County Farm Bureau, Seymour.

Born Nov. 4, 1923, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of John and Sophia Thiele Goecker. On April 4, 1948, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Dudleytown, she married Edgar L. Tape, who died Jan. 26, 1982.

Survivors include two brothers, Oscar Goecker and Harold Goecker, both of Seymour, and a niece, Leah Goecker, Seymour.

The Rev. Jack Belk and the Rev. Jeff Geisler will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Brownstown. Burial will be in Wegan Cemetery, Brownstown.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Zabel Funeral Home, Brownstown, and from noon until time of service Saturday at the church.
