Paul Waskom

Paul Waskom, 71, Medora, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour.

A Jehovah's Witness, Mr. Waskom had retired from Cummins Engine Co. in 1996. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles and cutting firewood. Born Feb. 10, 1935, in Jackson County, he was a son of Joseph and Bessie Weddle Waskom, both of whom preceded him in death. On April 16, 1960, he married Beulah Taylor, who survives.

Other survivors include five children, Phillip (Linda) Waskom, Mechanicsburg, Ohio, Troy (Becky) Waskom, Freetown, Michael Waskom, Seymour, Joseph Waskom, Vallonia, and Helen (James) Jackson, Brownstown; two sisters, Goldie (Alfred) Matthews, Cloverdale, and Kathern (Don) Taylor, Columbus, and 15 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stillborn daughter.

Robert Edinger will conduct a memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bedford Kingdom Hall.

There will be no visitation.
