Gorrel Cemetery, Vernon Township

Transcribed by: Crothersville Middle School Media Class, Spring 2002

My 8th grade media class and I transcribed this cemetery in the spring of 2002. - Joyce Howell

Gorrel Cemetery, Vernon Township, Jackson County, Crothersville, IN

From State Road 31, at the fire station in Crothersville, turn east on Moore St. Stay on Moore St. out of town (where it becomes 600 S), go across the overpass (I-65), turn north on the first road to the left. Travel .3 of a mile to a field lane, turn right (east) onto the lane, graveyard is in the woods at the end of the lane. If the ground is wet, you will want to walk in.
Cravens Cemetery is extremely well maintained, a delight to visit. The stones are very old and we discovered more information each time we visited.
Information compiled by the 8th Grade Media Class of Crothersville Jr/Sr High School and their teacher, Joyce Hicks, May 2002.
