Pvt. Clarence Edmonds Expires at Camp McCoy

Pvt. Clarence R. Edmonds, 21, 900 West Oak street, died Sunday in a hospital at Camp McCoy, Wisconsin. He had been ill for the past month.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon from the Voss Mortuary with the Rev. Edgar F. Maddex, pastor of the Bethel A.M.E. Church, in charge. Burial in Riverview Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Voss Mortuary after noon Wednesday.

Pvt. Edmonds was born September 24, 1930, in Seymour. He entered the service of the U.S. Army on November 13, 1950 and served for 10 months overseas in Korea. He spent his entire life in this city with the exception of his military service. Many friends in Seymour mourn his death.

He is survived by the mother, Mrs. Marguerite Edmonds Winfrey; a step-father, Theodore Winfrey, of Indianapolis; his grandmother, Mrs. Monta Edmonds, of Seymour, and a sister, Deloris Ann Winfrey, of Indianapolis. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
