Two Uniontown Soldiers Die On War Fronts

Sgt Wesley W. Gumm Killed On Western Front, Pfc. Verlas W. Fleetwood In Manila

Two Uniontown soldiers were killed in action on widely separated battle fronts, according to word received by their families.

Sergeant Wesley W. Gumm, who was killed on the Western Front, is about twenty-four years of age. He was married to Gladys Daily, who is miking her home with her parents on Crothersville R2. He is survived by the widow and one small son, Stephen, who is one and a half years old.
