Two Soldiers Give Lives On Battlefronts

Pfc. Raymond Rigel, Previously Missing, S/Sgt. Warren Henderson Killed in Action

Leyte Gunner Killed.

Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Walter Henderson, of Carr township, Jackson county, near Leesville, that their son, Staff Sergeant Warren Henderson, was killed in action in the Southwest Pacific.

S/Sgt. Henderson, who was serving as a gunner on a Leyte-based plane in the Philippines, was killed January 21, according to the War Department message received by his parents.

Besides the parnets, S/Sgt. Henderson is survived by three brothers and one sister: Huber Henderson and Woodrow Henderson, who are serving in the armed forces somewhere in the Pacific; Windred Henderson and Margaret Henderson, at home.
