PFC. WOODROW NICHOLSON

Pfc. Woodrow W. Nicholson, former Tampico resident, was killed in action April 19 while serving with an infantry division in the Philippines. Husband of Mrs. Ernestine Nicholson, of Louisville, and son of Mrs. Stella Nicholson, of Tampico, Pfc. Nicholson had been overseas since December, 1944. Besides the widow and mother, he is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Sharon, age three, and five sisters.

Infantryman's Memorial Is Set

Memorial services for Private First Class Woodrow Nicholson, former Tampico resident, who was killed April 19 in the Philipines while serving with an infantry division, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, July 22, at the Tampico Baptist Church. The Rev. John Cassady will deliver the memorial sermon.

Pfc. Nicholson, who participated in the drive for Mindanao, was a graduate of Tampico High School. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Ernestine M. Nicholson, a daughter, Bonnie Sharon, age three, both of Louisville, his mother, Mrs. Stella Nicholson, and five sisters.
