Pvt. Nowling Dies in France From Wounds

Crothersville Soldier Had Been Overseas 4 Months-Brother Is In English Hospital

Pvt. James E. Nowling, son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Nowling of Crothersville, and husband of Mrs. Marie Nowling, of Royal Oak, Mich., died of wounds he received in France December 3, it has been learned.

Pvt. Nowling entered the army December 15, 1941, and has been overseas since August, 1944. He received training in California, where he was married on August 29, 1943 to Marie Glantzer, who survives.

Besides the parents and wife, Pvt. Nowling is survived by two brother; Donald Nowling, at home and Private Clifford Nowling, who is in an army hospital in England, convalescing from wounds received November 23 in Germany. Pvt. Clifford Nowling had sustained previous wounds August 10 in France.
