Seymour Daily Tribune May 21, 2002 Barbara Ahlbrand Barbara Ahlbrand, 74, of Woodridge, Ill., and formerly of Seymour, died at 2:30 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2002, at her residence. Mrs. Ahlbrand was a registered nurse for Arvin Industries for 20 years. She also worked for Memorial Hospital and Lutheran Community Home, both in Seymour, and retired in 1987. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lisle, Ill., and a former member of Central Christian Church, Seymour. Born Nov. 23, 1927, in Seymour, she was a daughter of Paul Rambo and Thelma Perry Rambo, who both preceded her in death. In June 1977 at Central Christian Church, Seymour, she married Edward H. Ahlbrand and he survives in Woodridge, Ill. She also is survived by four sons, Charles L. Barbour, North Vernon, Thomas P. (Nina) Barbour, Granger, Timothy P. Barbour, Seymour, and Paul B.R. (Nancy) Barbour, Elizabethtown; seven grandchildren, Joshua Barbour, Mary Barbour, Thomas Barbour, Andrea Barbour, Melinda Barbour, Diana Barbour and Matthew Barbour; two sisters, DeVonne Hurn, O’Fallon, Ill., and Joyce (William) Hostetler, Santa Ana, Calif.; and a brother, David Rambo, York, Pa. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Ripley; and a grandson, Adam Barbour. The Rev. Sam Davenport will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday at Myers Funeral Service, Burkholder Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Lisle, Ill.
