Henry B. "Brooks" Allen 
1929 - 2009 
Henry B. "Brooks" Allen, 80, Seymour, passed away at 11:15 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2009, at The Waters of Seymour.
Mr. Allen was a member of the Dauphin Island Baptist Church, Dauphin Island, Ala. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserves 
and was employed as an oil well drilling contractor.
Born April 4, 1929, in Groves, Texas, he was the son of Lester and Dovie Wilkins Allen, both of whom preceded him in 
death. On Dec. 17, 1950, he married Jackie Fletcher, who survives.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Leslie Abbott and Angela (George) Scheirmann; son, 
Tracy (Shannon) Allen; grandchildren, Matt Scheirmann, Rachel Genakos, Natalie Holcomb, Tiffany Abbott, 
Clayton Abbott, Ariana Abbott, Bowen Allen and Austin Allen; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Dr. Darrell James will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour.
