Allman, 52, of Seymour Rt. 5, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Octover 7, at the Jackson Couty Hospital. She had been in failing health for one year. Born Feb. 3, 1923, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late David and Jessie Shay Bowman. A lifelong resident of the county, she was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church. On May 14, 1941, in Brownstown, she married Samuel Joseph Allman, who survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Clyde (Joann) Dillman, of Seymour; and Mrs. Floyd (Clara Mae) Elkins Jr., of Brownstown; tow sons, Samuel Leroy Allman, Seymour Rt. 5; and Delbert Ray Allman, of Acme; two brothers, Arnold Bowman, of Seymour; and Charles Bowman, of Salem; one sister, Mrs. Bernice Spurgeon, of Salem; one half-sister, Mrs. Pearl Cooper, Seymour Rt. 1; and nine grandchildren. One brother and two grandchildren preceded her in death. Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, from the Voss Chapel with the Rev. Melvin Sapp officiating. Burial was in the Acme Cemetery.
