Seymour Daily Tribune December 19, 2006 Pfc. Daniel Joseph Allman II U.S. Army Pfc. Daniel Joseph Allman II, 20, Canon, Ga., died Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, while serving his country in Iraq. After graduating from Franklin County High School, Pfc. Allman had joined the United States Army 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry Regiment, serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Born Aug. 21, 1986, in Walton County, Ga., he was a son of Daniel Joseph Allman, who survives at Monroe, Ga., and Amanda Walters Allman Reese, who survives at Canon. Other survivors include his stepfather, David Reese, Canon; a daughter, Haleigh Alexous Allman, Hartwell, Ga.; a brother, Michael Anthony Allman, Canon; maternal grandparents, Robert and Sara Smith, Monroe; paternal grandparents, Richard and Saundra Allman, Monroe; and paternal great-grandmother, Bonnie Linne. The Rev. Jerome Hill conducted funeral services at 2 p.m. Dec. 3 at Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel in Royston, Ga. Burial followed in Gaines Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
