Seymour Tribune - December 13, 2008 JC Allman Jr. JC Allman Jr., 67, of Brownstown passed away at 6:05 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2008, at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ at Easyville. He had worked as a carpenter for several years and enjoyed woodworking. He had a small shop called the Wood Wizard. He was a former manager of Silgas and was a member of the Jackson County Coon Hunter's Association. Born Feb. 5, 1941, in Jackson County, he was a son of JC and Vesta (McCory) Allman Sr. Both parents preceded him in death. On Nov. 21, 1987, in Jackson County, he married Dorothy Crockett, and she survives. Other survivors include three children, Sherri Dailey of Seymour, Terri (Kevin) Richart of Seymour and John Allman of Brownstown; five stepchildren, Roger Adams of Arkansas, Debra Epifanio of Florida, John David Adams of Austin, Darla Delorice Elkins of Norman and Pamela Dawn Combs of Georgetown; 21 grandchildren; two sisters: Jean Pogue of Brownstown and Janet (Chester Jr.) Goss of Freetown; and two brothers, Tom (Virgie) Allman and Beech (Mary) Allman both of Brownstown. He was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin "Bub" Allman. Visitation is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesdayat Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, from the Easyville Church of Jesus Christ, with Jean Pogue officiating. Burial will follow at Smallwood Cemetery, west of Brownstown.
