Robert D. Allman

Robert Dewey Allmann, 56, of 515 E. Walnut St., Brownstown, was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital, Effingham, Ill., at 11 a.m. Tuesday after an unexpected illness.

A member of Seymour Christ Temple, SeymourVeterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925 in Seymour, Pitpe Fitters Union Local 632 in Columbus, and Odd Fellows Lodge Encampment 40 in Franklin, he was a pipe fitter and a veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Born Jan. 10, 1925, in Marion County, he was the son of the Rev. Dewey and Della Colvin Allman. They survive in Seymour.

He married Gabriella Allegretti on July 8, 1944, in Seymour. She survives.
