Seymour Tribune Mrs. Ruby Allman 1915 - 2009 Ruby Allman, 94, Seymour, passed away at 10:38 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at The Waters of Seymour. Mrs. Allman was of the Christian faith. She had been employed at Arvin Industries and the Seymour Woolen Mill and was a homemaker. Born June 7, 1915, in Spraytown, she was the daughter of George and Nora Phillips Weekly, both of whom preceded her in death. On Oct. 27, 1936, in Jeffersonville, she married Edgar R. "Davie" Allman, who preceded her in death. Survivors include daughters, Carol (Harold) Hunter and Cora Sue Allman; grandchildren, Vince (Stacy) Gerth, Pam (Greg) Baurle and Tony (Renee) Allman; eight great-grandchildren; and five great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Allman; grandson, Thomas J. Gerth II; brothers, George Weekly Jr., Ralph Weekly, Chester Weekly and Floyd Weekly; sisters, Ruth Manuel, Alberta Nicholson, Carrie Huller, Margaret Isaacs, Mary Robinson, Nell McKain and twin infant sisters. The Rev. Mike Hawkins will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery with a Voss dove tribute.
