Jackson County Banner Brownstown, Indiana Wednesday, December 14, 1921 Page 6 ALLMAN-Samuel Allman, Jr., aged about sisty-five years, was found dead in bed at his home, five miles northwest of Brownstown, on the Brownstown and Freetown road, Thursday at three a.m. by his son, Purtle, aged 13. He had been in poor health for a year and three weeks ago became confined to his bed. His son was his only companion and had sat up with his father until midnight when he fell asleep. At 3 o'clock he awakened and attempted to arouse his father when he discovered he was dead. At the inquest, Coroner Manuel found that death was due to tuberculosis. Funeral services were held Friday. Burial in the Wayman cemetery.
