Allman, well known resident of the Pleasant Grove neighborhood in wewstern Jackson County, died at 9:15 o'clock Sunday night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Raymond Gaiter Ewing, two days after he had observed his seventy-fourth birthday anniversary. He had been ill for seven weeks. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Hilltop Pentecostal Church near Pleasant Grove. Burial in the Smallwood Cemetery. Mr. Allman was born on October 22, 1863, in Jackson County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Allman. He was married in 1883 to Emma Barr. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church. Mr. Allman is survived by six children, Mrs. George McElfresh, residing on a Freetown rural route; Mrs. Edward Hupp, residing on a Ewing rural route, Dewey Allman, Seymour rural route 4; Bruce Allman, of New Castle; Oscar Allman, residing on a Ewing rural route and Mrs. Gaiter, at whose home he died. A brother, Joe Allman, residing on a Brownstwon rural route, and one sister, Mrs. Lucinda Clopin, of Indianapolis, also survives.
