Seymour Daily Tribune - Friday, July 01, 2005 Helen M. Anderson Dec. 21, 1928 – June 30, 2005 Helen M. Anderson, 76, North Vernon, died at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2005, at her residence. Mrs. Anderson graduated from Hayden High School in 1948. She worked for Regal Rugs for 22 years. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, and her grandchildren. She was very active in the First Baptist Church and Cub Scouts. Born Dec. 21, 1928, in Anthony, Kan., she was a daughter of Frank Large and Dorothy (Bell) Large, both of whom preceded her in death. On May 8, 1949 at First Baptist Church, Seymour, she married Walter O. Anderson, who survives. Other survivors include three sons, Bob (Anita) Anderson, Seymour; Dennis (Linda) Anderson, Richmond; and Jerry (Peggy) Anderson, North Vernon; two sisters, Edna Burna, Detroit, and Sharon (Jake) Grabill, North Vernon; three brothers, Fred (Ilene) Large, Florida, Donald (Peggy) Large, Tennessee, and Walter (Connie) Large, Columbus; grandchildren, Jonathon (Kim) Anderson, Indianapolis, Rhonda (Corbin) Baird, Bloomington, Jennifer Anderson, Wayne Anderson and Jeremy Anderson, both of Richmond; Tammi (Jason) Harrell, Seymour, Amanda Owens, Indianapolis, Mike Anderson, Seymour, Cathy Anderson, Amy Linker, Richmond; Jerica Anderson, Madison, Krista Anderson and Sarah Anderson, both of North Vernon, and Karen Owens, Seymour; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Large. The Rev. Ken Anderson and Rev. Richard Burcham will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Vance-Fisher-Sawyer Funeral Chapel, North Vernon. Burial will take place at Vernon Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Vance-Fisher-Sawyer Funeral Chapel, North Vernon. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Jennings County, Jennings Home Health Care or First Baptist Church.
