Seymour Daily Tribune March 15, 2002 Jerry Dale Ashpaugh Jerry Dale Ashpaugh, 58, North Vernon, died at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at his home. Mr. Ashpaugh attended North Vernon High School and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He worked as a carpenter for Conrad Moir Construction for 21 years and had worked at Lowe’s Regional Distribution Center for the past two years. He owned and operated L&J Construction for 13 years. Born Nov. 21, 1943, at Tipton, he was a son of Charlie Ashpaugh and Adell Jones Ashpaugh. His mother survives in North Vernon. In 1990, in Jennings County, he married Evelyn M. Burton, who survives in North Vernon. Other survivors include two sons, Charles “Chuck” Ashpaugh, Florida, and David Lee Ashpaugh, North Vernon; four stepdaughters, Jennie Coulter, Bobbie LeVack and Sheila Woodruff, all of North Vernon, and Debbie McCarty, Madison; three stepsons, Larry Coulter, Larry Jenson and Ronnie Jenson, all of North Vernon; two sisters, Mary Ashpaugh and Sherry Hill, both of North Vernon; two brothers, Gary Ashpaugh and Larry Ashpaugh, both of North Vernon; 19 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. The Rev. Delbert Riddel will conduct services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pickett Funeral Home, North Vernon. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
