Seymour Daily Tribune Farrell G. Auleman October 14, 2006 Nov. 14, 1930 - Oct. 13, 2006 Farrell G. Auleman, 75, of Seymour died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006, at his home. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. From his teen years he gave his God-given talent of singing and playing the piano always when needed. He served at the church as a board member, Sunday school superintendent, a Sunday school teacher and a choir member. Mr. Auleman was born in Seymour on Nov. 14, 1930, the son of Jason and Hattie (Holmes) Auleman. He worked as an account representative at Cummins Engine Co. and retired after 29 years of service. He also worked for 25 years part-time at Pete's Thrifty Mart for Arthur "Pete" and Emily Maschino. After retiring, they owned and operated "Mom's Kitchen Candy" for more than three years. He was the husband of Geraldine (Maples) Auleman on Sept. 9, 1949, at Seymour Christ Temple in Seymour by the Rev. Dewey Allman. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Auleman; a son, David (Eva ) Auleman; five grandchildren, Amy (BJ) Cockerham, Lauren (Justin) Earl, Isaac Auleman, Madison Auleman and Chloe Auleman; two great-grandchildren, Kennedy Cockerham and Alyx Cockerham; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Timothy Joe Auleman; two brothers, Edward Auleman and Price Auleman; and a sister, Harriett Auleman McNear. The funeral service will be at Voss Chapel, Seymour, at 6 p.m. Sunday, with the Rev. Jack Suits and Rev. Ira Holt officiating. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Voss Chapel.
