Howard Henry Ault

Howard Henry “Chub” Ault, 76, Seymour, died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at Hoosier Christian Village, 
Brownstown. He had been in failing health for three months.
Mr. Ault was affiliated with Spraytown Free Methodist Church. He served in World War II, Fourth Army Infantry. He 
was a school bus driver for Brownstown School Corp. for 25 years and was self-employed hauling livestock, lime and 
grain. He lived all his life in Jackson County and was a graduate of Freetown High School.
Born June 14, 1925, in Jackson County, he was a son of Orville and Emma Thompson Ault. On Aug. 16, 1947, in Seymour, 
he married Opal Burns, who survives in Spraytown.
Other survivors include two daughters, Reah Dawn Ault and Vickie Fleetwood, both of Spraytown; a son-in-law, 
Gerald Fleetwood, Spraytown; a granddaughter, Alisha Dawn Fleetwood, Spraytown; five brothers, Robert Ault, 
Eugene Ault and Donald Ault, all of Seymour, Jerry Ault, Columbus, and Frank Ault, Freetown; and two sisters, 
Elsie Scott and Alberta Abrell, both of Muncie.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, LeRoy Ault and Hubert Ault, and three sisters, Theda Thompson, Opal Trissel 
and Patricia Ray.
The Rev. Jay Vincent will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, 
Seymour. Burial will be in White’s Chapel Cemetery, Jackson County.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Spraytown Free Methodist Day Care Ministry or Hoosier Christian Village Auxiliary.
