Seymour Daily Tribune January 4, 2007 Dorothy Mae Baker March 18, 1930 - Jan. 3, 2007 Dorothy Mae Baker, 76, died at 3:45 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2007, at Covered Bridge Health Campus, Seymour. Mrs. Baker worked as a cook at Holiday Inn and retired after 20 years of serving the public. While in Seymour, she attended Hilltop Pentecostal Church. Born March 18, 1930, in Fort Thomas, Ky., she was a daughter of George and Frances McGill Curtis, both of whom preceded her in death. Survivors include five daughters, Shirley Baker, Spraytown, Karen (R.V.) Oakes, Kentucky, Frances "Cookie" (Bill) Caudill, Seymour, Lisa (Bill) McFarlin, Brownstown, and Sally Sweet, Maine; 14 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Trisa Oakes Kohl; a great-grandson, Bryan Sage; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Ketchum. The Rev. Steve Muster and the Rev. Van Breeding will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Friday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Kim Sage, granddaughter, will present the eulogy. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the burial fund for the family or to Jennings County Hospice.
