May 1, 2006 - Seymour Daily Tribune Betty Jane Mundy Bear Sept. 10, 1925 – April 28, 2006 Betty Jane Mundy Bear, 80, Seymour, died Friday, April 28, 2006, at her residence. Mrs. Bear was a housewife and a member of the Eagles Lodge. Born Sept. 10, 1925, in Cicero, she was a daughter of Isaac Newton and Pearl L. King Mundy, both of whom preceded her in death. On Nov. 20, 1948, she married James J. Bear, who survives. Survivors include two brothers-in-law, Ray (Virginia) Bear and Jessie Dunlap; a sister-in-law, Charlotte (Freddy) Carlisle; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Phylip and Robert Mundy; a stepbrother, Gerald King; a sister-in-law, Barbara Dunlap; and her father- and mother-in-law, Calvin and Mary Bear. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour Burial will take place at Dupont Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society or the American Eye Institute for Glaucoma Research.
