Beard, 35, 684 South O'Brien street, died Tuesday afternoon at 5:40 o'clock at Schneck Memorial Hospital, where he had been admitted Sunday for medical treatment. He had been ill four days. A tool and die maker at the Seymour Tool and Engineering Company, Mr. Beard had lived in Jackson county since 1942 and had made a host of friends and acquaintances who mourn his death. He was born July 12, 1919, in Attalla, Alabama, the son of Pinkney and Myrtle Fanchier Beard. The father preceded him in death. He was married July 15, 1942, at Uniontown, to Monis Stout, who survives. He was a veteran of World War II. Besides the widow and the mother, he is survived by two children, Frank Beard, Jr., and Judith Faye Beard, both at home; three brothers, Louie Beard and John H. Beard, both of Attalla, and Leonard Beard, of Brookside, Kentucky; one half-brother, James Haney, of Boaz, Alabama; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Spence, of Muncie, Mrs Frances Butler, of South Carolina and Mrs. Virginia Humphrey, of Attalla; and four half-sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Bachlor, of Collinsville, Alabama, Mrs. Georgia Strickland, of Harlan, Kentucky, Mrs. Bizzlee Brock, of Seymour, and Mrs. Zelma Harris, of Madisonville, Tennessee. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Voss Mortuary with the Rev. Walter Moseley, of Uniontown, in charge. Burial in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the residence from 7 o'clock tonight until 11 o'clock Friday morning and after noon Fridawy at the Voss Mortuary.
