Francis Bedel Sr.

Francis Bedel Sr., 79, Seymour, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2004, at his residence.
Mr. Bedel retired from Arvin's after 25 years of service.
Born Dec. 19, 1924, at Seymour, he was a son of Claude and Beatrice Bedel, who preceded him in death. He married Louise Rice April 20, 1945, at Brownstown, and she survives.
He also is survived by four children, Francis Bedel Fr., Elkhart, Rhonda Kay Engleking, North Vernon, Randall Wayne Bedel, Jacksonville, Fla., and Garry Bedel, Columbus; a brother Ivan Bedel, Seymour; five sisters, Carol Ruth Ray, Seymour, Anni Gay, Brownstown, Edith Beckman, Seymour, Doris Bedel, Seymour, and Emma Bedel, Seymour; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Madge Ackers and Mary Williams.
The Rev. Bob Davis will conduct funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour, with burial at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
