Seymour Tribune Monday, Jan. 7, 1901 Page 3 Benton - William E. Benton, of Brownstown, died quite suddenly Sunday, age about 53. He was a well known citizen of Brownstown and was recently appointed justice of the peace to fill out the unexpired term of O.F. Lawell, deceased. He was formerly a reailroader and for many years was a conductor on the B. & O. road. He was residing with his sister, Miss Josephine Benton, at the time of his death.
