"Pete" Blankenship Dies at Home at Ewing Evan Thomas "Pete" Blankenship, 76, of Ewing, died Thursday night at 11:30 o'clock at the residence. He had been ill for seven weeks. Mr Blankenship was born May 30, 1878, near Seymour, the son of John and Caldonnia Hudson Blankenship. He was married August 5, 1916, in Jackson county, to Naomi Aufderheide, who survives. A membeer of the Browntown Baptist Church, he was a brickmason and plasterer by occupation. He was active in his work until he became ill. He spent most of his life in Brownstown and was well known there. He made a host of close friends in Jackson county who mourn his death. Besides the widown, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Heraldine Goerge, of Ewing; one stepson, Ray Jarvis, Of Muncie; one sister, Mrs. Maybell Payne, of Seymour; three grandchildren; four great grandchilren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Winklepleck Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown. Friends may call at the Winklepleck Funeral Home after 7 o'clock tonight.
