The Tribune Seymour, Indiana Monday, December 18, 1995 Page 2 Floyd Henry Blankenship March 15, 1916-December 17, 1985 Floyd Henry Blankenship, 79, of Brownstown died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, December 17, 1995, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. Mr. Blankenship was an electrician. He worked at Armco Steel and Rural Electric Membership Corp., and for the Civilian Conservation Corps. In 1937, he worked at 1594 Company Camp Little America of the Civilian Conservation Corps F-7 in Kurtz. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 183 Electrical Union. Born March 15, 1916, in Brownstown, he was a son of John Horace (Henry) and Sarah Elizabeth Shipley Blankenship. He married Mildred Leora Foster on August 20, 1938, in Brownstown, and she survives. Other survivors include a son, Floyd Wayne Blankenship, Seymour; three daughters, Judith Ann Patrouch, Cincinnati; Patricia Gale Edwards, Spraytown; and Jane Blankenship Ward, Richmond; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. The Rev. Gary Morning will conduct services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Zabel Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Heart Fund or the Cancer Fund.
