William Bloom

William Bloom, 74, died at 6:10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, at Heritage House of Seymour after a brief battle with cancer.
Mr. Bloom worked for the State Highway Garage.
Born Jan. 27, 1932, in Freetown, he was a son of Carl and May (Fleenor) Bloom. In 1968, he married Mary (Vice) Bloom in Freetown and she survives.
Besides his wife of 38 years, he is survived by a daughter, Anna Margaret (Brad) Phillips, Seymour, and one granddaughter, Peyton Phillips, Seymour.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ed and Floyd Bloom and one sister, Ethel Shelton.
Pastor Gary Dyer will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Thursday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Friends may call from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service.
Memorials may be given to the family for funeral expenses.
