The Tribune Seymour, Indiana July 5, 1997 Carl H. Bode August 13, 1920 - July 3, 1997 Carl H. Bode, 76, of Seymour died at 12:25 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 1997, at Heritage House of Seymour. Mr. Bode was a production worker at Arvin Industries for 29 years and Farmer's Marketing for seven years, both at Columbus, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Seymour and Arvin Quarter Century Club. Born August 13, 1920, in Jackson County, he was a son of Edward and Mayme Kuhlman Bode. On October 12, 1941, in Bartholomew County, he married Cora Maxene Robertson, and she survives. Other survivors include two children, Michael Bode, Columbus; and Mrs. Ronald (Deborah Lynn) Ault, South Elgin, Ill.; three grandchildren, Timothy Sean Ault, Phoenix, Arizona; Melissa Kaye Ault, West Dundee, Ill.; and Christopher Paul Voss, Columbus; a brother Chester Bode, Columbus; and two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Edna) Peters, Columbus; and Mrs. George (Mildred) Bobb Jr., Seymour. He was preceded in death by six brothers, Harold, Ralph, Earl, Everitt, Francis and Robert Bode; and two sister, Cora Heideman and Irene Koop. The Rev. Ralph Blomenberg will conduct services at 11 a.m. Monday at Myers Funeral Service, Burkholder Chapel, Seymour, with burial in Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or donor's choice.
