Seymour Daily Tribune Cora Maxene Bode Cora Maxene Bode, 80, Seymour, died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2002, at Covered Bridge Health Campus, Seymour. Mrs. Bode was a seamstress for Excello Shirt Factory for 16 years and worked at Seymour Greenhouse for five years. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and Honeytown Extension Homemakers. She graduated from Cortland High School in 1939. Born March 12, 1922, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of Wayne and Grace Marie Dougherty Robertson, who both preceded her in death. On Oct. 12, 1941, she married Carl H. Bode in St. John’s Lutheran Church, White Creek. He died July 3, 1997. Mrs. Bode is survived by a daughter, Deborah L. (Ronald R.) Ault, South Elgin, Ill.; three grandchildren, Melissa K. (Gary) Ketterer, West Dundee, Ill., Timothy S. (Andrea L.) Ault, Phoenix, Ariz., and Christopher P. Voss, Scipio; a brother, Gordon (Anedra) Robertson, Florida; and two great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Robertson, and two sisters, Norma Ruth Motsinger and Marjorie Irene Robertson. The Rev. Andrew Currao will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday at Myers Funeral Service, Burkholder Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Memorial Hospital Hospice Fund or to the American Cancer Society.
