Seymour Tribune - April 30, 2007 Glen O. Bode March 22, 1936 – April 27, 2007 Glen O. Bode, 71, beloved husband, father, grandpa and brother, passed away at 6:15 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2007, at Hospice of South Central Indiana, Columbus. Mr. Bode worked at Cummins Mid Range in Walesboro for 31 years and retired this year because of illness. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, White Creek. Born March 22, 1936, in Bobtown, he was a son of Orville H. and Edna M. Selfridge, Bode, both of whom preceded him death. On Dec. 27, 1963, he married Mona Jean Wheeler, who survives. Other survivors included twin daughters, Kimberly (Michael S.) Eder and Kathleen (J. Allen II) Hoover; six grandchildren, Mona Logan “Logan” Eder, Klancy Mona Blaire Hoover, Glen Michael Austin “Austin” Eder, Kaylor Alice Blayne Hoover, Bode James Hoover and John Colten Zollars “Cole” Eder; a sister, Bettie (Dale) Burbrink; and a sister-in-law, Sandy Bode. He was preceded in death by a brother, Steven William Bode. The Rev. Eldon Brandt will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Burkholder Funeral Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Burkholder Funeral Chapel, Seymour, and from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus or to the donor’s choice. May God bless Glen O.
