Edna Mary (Stephens) Booker
Edna Mary Booker, 83, went to be with Jesus and her beloved husband, James, of 64 years on Feb. 2, 2009. James passed away on April 7, 2008.
Edna Mary loved each new day and tried to live life to the fullest. She loved her church, all children, caregivers and friends. To all her family and friends who had the pleasure to know and love her, Edna Mary would say, "Don't cry for me for I will be waiting for you in heaven." To Edna Mary, our "Special Lady," we will never forget you because you became a part of each one of us forever.
She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Nixon, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Edna Mae Goodale Stephens; her father, Grant Ruben Stephens; and sisters, Jessie, Nellie and Ruth.
Her wishes were to have no funeral services and to be buried at Proctor Cemetery at Dixon Chapel Church.
