Seymour Daily Tribune February 25, 2002 Jerry A. Bowers Jerry A. Bowers, 61, Columbus, died at 8:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2002, at Columbus Regional Hospital. Mr. Bowers was employed with Cummins Engine Co. and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Fun Makers Square Dance Club, Nashville; Prairie Promenaders, Columbus; Village Squares, Shelbyville; Bucks and Does, Nashville; and Ding-a-lings, Trafalgar. Born Jan. 12, 1941, at Vallonia, he was a son of Lewis Bowers and Mary Robinson. He was married to Nona M. Bowers, who died Oct. 1, 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Dawn Murray, Indianapolis, and Carrie Copeland, Donalsonville, Ga.; a son, Randall “Hank” Henry, Nashville; two sisters, Almeda Lange and Alma Liebert, both of Seymour; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Tim Bond will conduct services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, Nashville. Interment will be at Brown County Memorial Park, Nashville. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
