Seymour Daily Tribune - May 8, 2006 Edward Amos Bowman Edward Amos Bowman, 79, Seymour, died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2006, at his residence. Mr. Bowman retired from Cummins Engine Company after 35 years and then worked for Enterprise Car Rental until his illness. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Preservation at the Taylor Chapel Cemetery in Freetown. Born March 18, 1927, in Freetown, he was a son of Elmer and Inis Taylor Bowman, both of whom preceded him in death. On Aug. 4, 1950, he married Alberta Hauck, who preceded him in death on June 11, 1988. He then married Anna Hauck Daughterty on Jan. 7, 1990, in Freetown at the United Methodist Church, who survives. Other survivors include three children, Joyce E. (Jerry) Prince, Johnson County, Floyd G. (Peggy) Bowman, North Vernon, and Loyd D. Bowman, Texas; two step-daughters, Patty (Richard) Apgar, N.J., and Idela (Bobby) Philpot, Kentucky; one brother, Harlan F. Bowman, Allen County; one sister, Anna Singer, Freetown; 10 grandchildren, Brad Bowman, Brandy Rumph, Tiffany Bowman, Stacy Ross, Ann Ault, Karl Hulse, Kurt Hulse, Kyle Hulse, Meaghan Bowman and Joshua Bowman; three great-grandchildren, Breanna Ault, Jacob Ross and Haley Bowman. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Jr. and Ervin Bowman; one sister, Lucille Bowman Bean. The Rev. D.G. Morris and Rev. Mark Meyer will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour, and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be given to Taylor Chapel Cemetery, Calvary Baptist Church or Hospice of Schneck Medical Center.
