Seymour Indiana Tribune July 20, 2006 Leopha Brock Ratcliff Leopha Brock Ratcliff, 81, Brownstown, died at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 18, 2006, at her residence. Mrs. Ratcliff was a member of Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Crothersville. She owned and operated Brock’s Restaurant for more than 49 years. She was well-known throughout the community from the restaurant, especially for her homemade pies. She received letters from people from several states complimenting pie they had eaten when passing through Brownstown. She even received one letter from a businessman in South America. After retiring, she greatly enjoyed working in the garden and loved her flowers. Born Oct. 17, 1924, in War Branch, Ky., she was a daughter of Hiram Fee and Hallie Brock Fee, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Charles W. Brock Sr. in 1940 in Hyden, Ky. He preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 1987. She married Paul Herndon on Dec. 31, 1995. He preceded her in death in January 1998. She married Lloyd Bob Ratcliff on Oct. 17, 1998. He survives in Brownstown. Other survivors include one son, Charles (Nancy) Brock Jr., Brownstown; one daughter, Gayle (Tom) Gray, Brownstown; three stepdaughters, Penny Gilham, Linda Claycamp, and Reva Lucas, all of Seymour; three brothers, Buford Fee, Roscoe Fee, and Curnis Fee; two sisters, Grace Cogdill and Ruth Edwards; six grandchildren, Clint (Stephanie) Brock, Christy (Dill) Whittymore, Cliff (Michelle) Brock, Angie (Tony) Langdon, Belinda (Scott) Bowman, Jennifer (David) Ridlen; eight great-grandchildren, Morgan Bowman, Chalen Bowman, Bethany Langdon, Cole Brock, Carley Brock, Colten Whittymore, Hayden Gray and Levi Ridlen. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Wilford Fee, one great-granddaughter, Hannah Langdon, and one nephew, Hiram Brock. The Rev. Sam White will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
