Seymour Daily Tribune - November 21, 1984 Rufus M. Brock Rufus M. Brock, 74, of 721 E. Third St. in Seymour died at 11:14 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, at the Jackson County Hospital at Seymour after being ill six weeks. Mr. Brock had retired from Arvin Industries. Funeral will begin at 1:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 21 at the Voss Funeral Home at Seymour with the Revs. William Klakamp and Vernon Pruiett officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery at Seymour. Persons may call at the funeral home after 11:30 a.m. today. Born Dec. 16, 1909, at Collinsville, Ala., Mr. Brock was a son of Pat and Adline Morgan Brock. he moved from Alabama to Jackson County in 1950. He is survived by his wife, the former Bizzie Lee Beard, who he married at Gadston, Ala., on Nov. 13, 1929. Survivors also include five children, Morris L. "Red" Brock and Mrs. Dan (Pauline) VonFange, both of Seymour, R.L. Brock of Seymour Rt. #, Charles Robert Brock of Seymour, Rt. 7 and Mrs. Charles (Mary) Denson of Old Hickory, Tenn.; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include four brothers, Leonard and Calvin Brock, both of Boaz, Ala., and Warner and Paul Brock, both of Arab, Ala.; and one sister, Mrs. Horace (Irene) Smith of Boaz, Ala. Mr. Brock was preceded in death by a son and a daughter. A member of Calvary Baptist Church at Seymour, he was a Navy veteran of World War II.
